Adelaide Food Central invited us to Jamaica Blue’s VIP Media Launch for a night of bubbly, wholesome cafe meals and sweet treats for dessert!
Jamaica Blue Big Breakfast
Say hello to the grandest of grand big breakfasts! Complete with two pieces of thick sourdough toasted loaf and softened butter, the lovely chefs at Jamaica Blue can prepare your eggs just the way you like them – soft boiled, scrambled, sunny side up and every which way in between! Roasted truss tomatoes still on the vine add a refreshing touch, whilst crispy bacon, juicy chorizo and hash brown complete the classic big ol’ brekkie. The cherry on top of it all is the mouth-watering haloumi cheese, grilled to perfection to be golden on the outside yet irresistibly stringy inside.
Vintage Ground Beef Burger
Jamaica Blue slay the burger game with their Vintage Ground Beef Burger that gives the majority of burger joints around Adelaide a run for their money! Between a toasted brioche bun lies a towering masterpiece consisting of crispy bacon, pickles, cheddar cheese, a juicy ground beef burger, tomato, lettuce, red onion and aioli. The leaning tower of burgers is held together by a skewer and best enjoyed once deconstructed layer by layer with a knife and fork as it was almost way too big to even fit in our hands. Talk about a whopper of a burger!
Dessert Tasting Platter
As soon as you enter Jamaica Blue, you are greeted by a glass display cabinet filled with sweet treats, slices, tarts and cakes that truly tease and tantalise the tastebuds. Since there were far too many decadent desserts to choose from, we were provided a dessert tasting platter filled with samples sizes of their most popular bites! Decadent mud cake, orange marmalade cake, lemon and yoghurt loaf and green tea and pistachio cake were all on offer, coated in a fine layer of icing sugar and topped with fresh strawberries, lemons and limes to add a decorative touch!
