Winters are made for cosying up and sipping hot chocolates, and what better way to warm your soul than with a hot chocolate month at a chocolate factory right on your very doorstep!
The recently opened Barossa Valley Chocolate Company have just launched their inaugural Hot Chocolate Month, which will be held at the start of the winter season each year.
For a limited time only throughout the month of June, an extensive range of nine tantalisingly delicious hot chocolate flavours will be on offer to delight tastebuds Barossa-wide.
With flavours ranging from Rocky Road, Fudge, Mint and Peanut Brittle, there’s sure to be something to satisfy everyone’s tastebuds. There’s even a red wine hot chocolate infused with Cabernet Sauvignon, aptly named the Stan the Man Hot Chocolate in order to pay tribute to their Barossa roots and their late colleague Stan.
Launching with three flavours of hot chocolate, two will be changed every week, with the world renowned and highly rare Ruby Hot Chocolate remaining on the menu throughout the entire month.
Hot Chocolate Month officially kicked off on Saturday 1 June, with the opening weekend celebrating the release of two delicious flavours. For those with a deadly sweet tooth, there’s the Honeycomb Hot Chocolate: made in a state-of-the-art chocolate kitchen using locally sourced Buzz Honey from the Adelaide Hills. And for the brave souls, there’s the spicy Chilli Hot Chocolate that is sure to pack a punch.
Each standard hot chocolate flavour can be enjoyed alone for $6 each, whilst the Premium (Ruby) Hot Chocolate can be savoured in it’s rarity for $7.50 each. For a truly memorable experience, hot chocolates can also be paired with a carefully curated plate of three artisan chocolates for $12.90 or $14.90 when paired with Premium (Ruby) Hot Chocolate.
