Making her debut as producer, the “Curator of Country” Miss Teaser Amore has wrangled together a star-studded cast of performers ranging from burlesque babes to guitar-strumming gents, completely transforming Nineteen Ten into a rooftop saloon for the night. Saddle up for a night of sizzling performances set to the toe-tappin’ tunes of your favorite country hits as the spirit of the wild west meets the beautiful art of burlesque.
From the moment you step through the swinging saloon doors of Nineteen Ten, you’re transported into a realm where disco cowgirls and seductive sheriffs reign supreme. Hosting the evening is Lyra la Belle, resplendent in a rainbow sequinned playsuit, gold glittery cowgirl hat, shimmering red boots and blonde pigtails. Not only is Lyra the embodiment of “Disco Cowgirl, she is also the real-life “Diabetes Cowgirl” as she proudly displays her insulin pump clipped onto her thigh-high stockings in honour of National Diabetes Week.
Kicking off the evening’s shenanigans is the oh-so-heavenly Angel Evita, who puts on a scintillating show to the country twang tunes of Shoot Tequila by Tigirlily Gold. Dressed as a sultry barmaid straight out of a mid-western movie, Angel captivates the audience with her playful art of the tease, even handing out free tequila shots to some lucky front-row guests. Her seductive sashaying and artful striptease, peppered with nods to country dance styles, show off her cheeky side and sets the tone for the rest of the night’s mischief-making. Audiences are treated to a surprise cameo appearance from fellow performer Delilah Del L’Amour, who does a tequila shot off of Angel’s body as they straddle the bar, completing the tequila cruda of “lick, sip, suck” by sucking a lemon out of Angel’s mouth.
Ivy Cyanide follows with a bootylicious burlesquified adaptation of Honky Tonk Badonkadonk by Trace Adkins. She certainly puts the “cheek” in “cheeky” as she strips off her denim booty shorts to reveal a racy thong reading “ride em” on one side and “cowboy” on the other. She giddies up for a captivating chair routine where she practically rides the chair like a horse, showcasing her ability to juggle agility with sexiness – definitely something easier said than done. As her name appears on more and more performance cast lists, it’s evident that Ivy is a rising star amongst the burlesque community, leaving a lasting impression with her bold charisma and playful demeanor that she injects into her every move.
The sheriff is in town, and her name is Delilah Del L’Amour. As Big Iron by Marty Robbins plays in the background, she looks like an absolute vision in black with a shiny sheriff’s hat and badge. This gun-slinging, whip-toting badass is the sexiest sheriff in town. Her performance is a seamless blend of seduction and vaudeville comedy, highlighted by her whip-cracking skills and fearless stage presence. As the song transitions into Cocaine Country Dancing by Paul Cauthen, Delilah’s provocative use of props including a little baggie of “suspicious white powder” adds a layer of moedic intrigue, while her incorporation of a whip into her floorwork routine is both mesmerising and audacious. Sexy, sassy and character-driven, Delilah Del L’Amour shows that she isn’t just a sheriff: she’ the queen of the whole darn rodeo.
Dre’s musical interlude provides a serene contrast, serenading the audience with acoustic renditions of classic country tunes ranging from Buy Dirt by Jordan Davis and Luke Bryan, to Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver. His Southern charm and heartfelt vocals resonate throughout Nineteen Ten, creating a tranquil moment amidst the racy burlesque performances and showcasing his ability to connect with the audience on a soulful level.
Miss Teaser Amore and Brandy Snap’s dynamic duo act to U Gurl and Stetson – two catchy hits by Walker Hayes – ignites the stage with infectious energy. Their synchronised choreography and joyful camaraderie are a testament to their friendship and shared love for country music and burlesque. Moving seamlessly from energetic boot-scooting to sensual floorwork routines, the duo’s performance is a crowd-pleasing spectacle that highlights their versatility and sheer enjoyment of the art form, making the audience feel like they’re two-stepping at a barn dance.
With a name that evokes the spirit of the Lone Star State, Dallas Adore stuns with a slow-burn performance that balances sensuality and seduction. Set to the sultry sounds of I Feel a Sin Comin’ On by Pistol Annies, Dallas’ choreography is deliberate and tantalising, culminating in a surprising full leg splits that demonstrates both her flexibility and stage presence. Throughout her act, Dallas maintains an aura of mystery and allure, drawing the audience into her world of temptation and sin. It’s clear that Dallas Adore is not just a performer but a mistress of enchantment, leaving an indelible mark on the stage with every subtle gesture and mesmerising glance.
Making a grand entrance in an inflatable cow costume, Remi Reign blends playfulness with pleasure in a barnyard-themed act appropriately set to Mooo! by Doja Cat. As she sheds her inflatable cow attire, Remi reveals a cow-print ensemble complete with cow udder pasties and assless chaps, transforming what could be a mere novelty into a surprisingly sexy spectacle that culminates in her pouring entire glass of milk all over herself – a bold move that proves her commitment to the character, that’s for sure. With impeccable comedic timing and a commanding stage presence, Remi navigates the transition from humor to seduction with ease, showcasing her versatility as a performer.
Winchester Angel leaves audiences mystified with her powerful performance set to country classics by two icons: Jolene by “America’s Sweetheart” Dolly Parton and Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood. Adorned in a burgundy red floor-length skirt and glittering gloves, she exudes elegance from the moment she steps onto the stage. Incorporating fire manipulation into her routine, Winchester wields flaming batons with precision, creating a mesmerising display of skill and seduction. Her transformation into a devilish cowgirl with a fiery headdress adds a thrilling climax to her performance, leaving the audience in awe of her artistry and the intensity of her stage presence.
Kraken commands the stage with her electrifying performance set to a mashup of country anthems such as Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy) by Big & Rich, Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) by Beyoncé and I Love Rock ’n’ Roll by Joan Jett & the Blackhearts. Making one hell of an entrance wearing a cowboy hat with its brim ignited by a strip of flames, Kraken infuses the country theme with her passion for the fiery arts. Her unearthly skill in fire manipulation and whip cracking is unparalleled, each crack of her whip resonating through the venue with power and precision. Kraken’s dynamic presence and daring stunts, like whipping a rosebud off a stem with breathtaking accuracy, showcase her as a force to be reckoned with in the world of burlesque, blending strength, artistry and showmanship in an unforgettable display.
The show concludes with producer and performer Miss Teaser Amore’s finale to Long Hard Day by Toby Lightman, where she oozes self-assured confidence in her shower and bathtub routine that leaves audiences feeling hot and heavy. Her adoration of country music and burlesque is palpable and infectious, as she effortlessly balances playful charm with bold sensuality.
