Known for her neurospicy charm and unapologetically authentic stage presence, Letitia’s natural confidence and genuine affection for her fellow performers shines through her role as hostess. Her hosting duties are seamlessly intertwined with her own burlesque performance, where she commands the stage with a badass performance set to a compilation of Kiss anthems. Dressed in thigh-high black boots and a glittery gown that splits to reveal provocative lingerie adorned with “Kiss my ass” in gold glitter, Letitia exudes confidence and sass with every move.
First to take to the stage are The Sirens. Directed by Kalikah Jade, these talented belly dancers—Sarah, Veronika and Riannah—create a mesmerising fusion of traditional and modern dance. Their choreography, fluid and serpentine, evokes the mythical aura of sirens from folklore. Ember Rose, known for her fiery charisma as the “Queen of Character”, follows with a dynamic burlesque fusion performance that combines her childhood love of tap with her adult passion for burlesque. Dressed in a red rhinestoned corset and ombre skirt that mimics the sunrise, Ember Rose captivates with her radiant smile and infectious energy. The evening continues with a debut performance by Sarah, a burgeoning talent in the world of bellydance. Clad in a red and black tie-dye veil, a coin-studded bra and belt set, and black harem pants, Sarah’s grace and fluidity on stage are commendable. Despite her first-timer nerves, she executes each move with confidence, earning enthusiastic applause from the crowd. Sarah’s debut is a promising start to what will undoubtedly be a bright future in belly dance, highlighting the potential of emerging artists within the community.
Miss Curvella brings a high-energy neo burlesque act to the stage with her signature angle grinder performance. As sparks fly from the metal she grinds against her steel-infused lingerie set, the spectacle is both dangerously daring and visually stunning to behold. Dressed in thigh-high black boots and a sheer gown that reveals a red and silver studded set, Miss Curvella’s performance to AC/DC’s Thunderstruck is a testament to her electrifying stage presence and skillful artistry. Her ability to fuse danger with sex appeal creates a memorable and exhilarating experience that will leave you on the edge of your seat with anticipation.
The evening’s lineup would not be complete without Kalikah Jade, Adelaide’s very own “Queen of the Belly Dance Scene” and the producer of Electric Oasis. Raqs Elysium, featuring the dynamic duo Adalia and Gül, brings a vibrant fusion of traditional and contemporary bellydance to the stage. Adorned in dazzling black and silver costumes that seamlessly blend classic and modern styles, their performance is a powerful reflection of their rich Turkish, Gibraltan, and Russian cultural heritage. The evening crescendos with a spellbinding spectacle where burlesque meets belly dance, performed by none other than interstate headliner Jazida – widely renowned as one of Australia’s premier burlesque stars. Dressed in turquoise harem pants, a flowing silk cape, and a strappy rhinestoned lingerie set, Jazida resembles a glamorous Disney Princess Jasmine, her striking eye makeup completing the enchanting look. Her polished and flawlessly executed sword-balancing act is a testament to her exceptional skill and meticulous craftsmanship, reflecting her high level of expertise and artistry.
