Happy Halloween, ghosts and ghouls!

To celebrate the spookiest time of the year, last Wednesday I popped into Chuck Wagon 175 on O’Connell Street to try their newly launched limited edition Halloween specials!

45209156_197020924523933_3531916826302742528_n‘Eye Know What You Did Last Summer’ Cocktail ($18, 18+)

After teasing my tastebuds on their Instagram, I just had to try the ‘Eye Know What You Did Last Summer’ cocktail. Made from white chocolate liqueur mixed with vodka, this cocktail concoction is sickly sweet in the best way imaginable! The inside of the glass is layered with blood red raspberry topping, and sitting on top of a bed of freshly whipped cream are shards of white Lindt chocolate. On the top rim of the glass are mini chocolate eyeballs stuck on with white vanilla icing, with “blood” trickling down the sides.

A layer of chocolate icing sprinkled with green coloured coconut acts as the “grass” bed for two little graveyard brownies warm enough to melt any ghoul’s cold, dead soul. The shortbread tombstones are decorated with white icing and the words ‘RIP’, which really puts the nail in the coffin (spooky pun definitely intended). Two little chocolate ghosts standing in the chocolate “mud” on either side of the platter add that last creepy touch!

Ghost Shake ($10)

This little Ghost Shake was almost too adorable to eat! Made from strawberry marshmallows blended with milk and ice cream, this fun-sized freakshake is *hauntingly* good (back at it again with the Halloween puns). A black icing face like the iconic Scream mask decorates the side, whilst a layer of chocolate and fine Oreo crumbs embellishes the top rim of the glass. Topped with a tower of freshly whipped cream, this boo-tiful creation is perfect for the little ones!

ezgif.com-video-to-gifTo snatch up these creepy creations, you’d better get in quick – these Halloween specials will only be available for another week at Chuck Wagon 175’s North Adelaide and Norwood stores!
