Ambra Liqueurs Limoncello Icy Pops & Blood Orange Liqueur Launch

47258868_516617268821061_763471230463377408_n upcoming balmy summer evenings call for some ice cool refreshments – and Ambra Liqueurs have just the thing with their newly-launched Limoncello Icy Pops and a Blood Orange addition to their liqueur range!

Last night, Ambra Liqueurs celebrated the launch of these two exciting additions to their menu with an evening of grazing platters, cocktails and a tour of their Thebarton cellar door and distillery.

For twenty years, owners Nando and Peppe have prided themselves on producing South Australian made, authentic Italian liqueurs based on a traditional family recipe handed down over generations.


46961861_312032739403430_762342092151193600_nJust in time for the summer silly season, Ambra are extending their liqueur-making talents with the release of their Limoncello Icy Pops.

Inspired by their childhood favourite Italian dessert of lemon gelati with limoncello on top, these icy inventions contain 1.15% alc/vol so are the perfect adult-approved summer snack.

46960663_1069455826570337_8899900169844162560_nAmbra have also released a Blood Orange Liqueur, adding to their expansive menu of liqueurs with flavours ranging from chocolate orange to cappuccino.

Combining prosecco, soda and the zest of blood orange, this beverage commonly described as “alcoholic fanta” captures the essence of summer days and tropical nights with it’s tangy tones and bitter twist. (1)Ambra Liqueurs’ Thebarton cellar door and distillery radiates Italian vibes, with their outdoor terrace seating area decked out with lounges and parasols being the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail or icy pop in the sunshine.

“Sophia” was glistening in the evening sunshine in all her glory serving up fresh icy poles straight from the freezer – in case you’re wondering, she’s their 3-wheeled Italian Piaggio mobile spritz bar that can be hired for events!

We were also lucky enough to be taken behind the scenes for a tour of their on-site factory, where we learnt all about how lemon peel is infused with a 96% alcohol liqueur to give each bottle a bright colour and zesty flavour.
