Antica’s Morphett Street store was turned into a pumping party, complete with an open bar, DJ and balloon-decorated backdrop for capturing all of those Insta-worthy moments!
Owner Anthony Crea opened the first Antica Pizzeria store in Hyde Park back in 2014, with the Morphett Street store popping up not too long after in 2016.
Since it’s conception, Antica has quickly become one of Adelaide’s most beloved pizzerias, well-renowned by foodies across the state for their signature one-metre-long pizzas!
The drinks were flowing all night long as the friendly bar staff zig-zagged their way through crowds with Aperol Spritz’s, espresso martinis, as well as red and white wines!
Showcasing their extensive antipasti menu, an endless variety of appetisers were on offer to work up the crowd’s appetite.
MOZZARELLA IN CARROZZA: Fried crumbed mozzarella with napoletana sauce
POLENTA CHIPS: Seasoned with Italian herbs served with napoletana sauce & cream of grana
ARANCINI: With porcini & swiss brown mushrooms, mozzarella, served with mushroom & truffle sauce
POLPETTE CON SUGO: Veal & pork meatballs in napoletana sauce, served over soft polenta with parmesan
Pasta lovers were delighted with a selection of Antica’s crowd-favourite pasta options, all of which were served in adorable biodegradable bowls that almost looked like mini boats!

GNOCCHI QUATTRO FORMAGGI: Buffalo, fior di latte, gorgonzola, parmesan (with optional mushroom cream)
But it was Antica’s infamous one metre pizzas that well and truly stole the show, sending the crowd into a clicking frenzy as they snapped up photos of the aesthetically pleasing dish before digging in!
Each pizza is served with your choice of up to three different toppings on their pizza menu, making it the perfect option for large groups or catering to everyone’s tastebuds are satisfied!
Toppings we taste tested on their Pizze Rosse menu included boscaiola, Antica salame, and from their Pizze Bianche menu we sampled salsiccia and capricciosa (just to name a few!)
The cherry on top of the birthday celebrations was the long-awaited and highly anticipated dessert, which was well and truly a sweet tooth’s dream come true!
CALZONE DI NUTELLA: Nutella spread, topped with strawberries and a light dusting of icing sugar
PANNACOTTA ALLE MANDORLE: Almond pannacotta, cocoa crumble, ribes raspberry coulis
