RnB Vine Days 2019

Boasting the motto “your annual summer wine escape”, RnB Vine Days proved to be exactly that as they transformed the lush lawns of McLaren Vale’s Leconfield Wines into an outdoor RnB concert.

After a successful RnB Fridays tour where the Adelaide leg was held at the Adelaide Showgrounds, Hit107 put a wine-inspired twist on the festival by bringing the RnB beats into the vineyards.

Owned by Dr Richard Hamilton and his wife Jette, Leconfield Wines was originally established in 1972 after Dr Hamilton was inspired by his viticulturist father, Burton.

We decided to treat ourselves to a girl’s only trip and went all out with Premium G.A Standing and a ticket upgrade to gain exclusive access to the Garden of Syn.

Ticket Upgrade: Garden of Syn ($153)

In addition to General Admission tickets, guests had the option of adding a ‘Garden of Syn’ upgrade for an extra cost. Upon receiving a VIP lanyard and wristband, we were escorted to a private fenced off area complete with our own private toilets and bar.

Nestled under a large white marquee was the Garden Bar, where we could skip the queue and have our wine before no time.

Behind a white picket fence lay a Hamptons-style outdoor eating area decked with tables and chairs under umbrellas that offered a cool reprise from the warm summer sun rays. (10)

Between 5 – 7pm, we were treated to a generous two-hour “Gourmet Barbeque” food package consisting of appetisers, salads, mains and dessert to fill our alcohol-soaked bellies! Starters included bread rolls, a roast vegetable platter, well as a variety of salads such as Mediterranean, tabouli, potato and garden.

For the main course, we were provided a sumptuous 120g porterhouse steak, herb-infused provencal chicken, delicious Asian prawn skewers and pork and fennel chipolatas for the vegetarians out there.

Adding that sweet touch to the afternoon’s catering was dessert: a perfectly bouncy orange and almond cake topped with a drizzle of zesty orange syrup and a dash of thickened cream.

The Hit107 Black Thunders were also out in full force, spreading their sparkle at a free glitter stand where you could get your face glitter-fied and photobooth to capture the memories and take home a keepsake printed photo.

Premium G.A Standing ($189.90)

We were so keen to see all our favourite 90s RnB idols in real life that we just needed to see them up close and personal in the Premium G.A Standing area! Perfectly positioned right at the very front of the stage, we were blessed with unrestricted views of the stage and DJ area to the side and were able to optimise our ultimate festival experience!

Music-lovers relived their childhoods, teenagehood or even just revelled in their everyday music tastes as one by one, artists took to the stage to play a mix of their old and new hits! In between, Radelaidian DJ Yo! Mafia kept revellers pumped up with remixed hits of all our favourite 90s and early 2000s bangers.
